Singapore ranks as the world’s safest city for tourists

Singapore was recently ranked as the safest city in the world for tourists by Forbes Advisor, a major global platform specializing in personal finance, investment and travel information. This prestigious recognition reinforces Singapore’s reputation as an ideal safe travel destination. The Forbes Advisor study assessed 60 major cities across seven key criteria, and Singapore came in first place due to its high safety in various areas: healthcare, crime, infrastructure, digital, personal safety, travel safety and disaster risk.

One of the important features that contributes to Singapore’s high safety rating is its low vulnerability to natural disasters. The city-state is virtually immune to typhoons, floods, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes, making it a stable and safe place to stay. Singapore also ranks second in healthcare safety, reflecting the high quality of its healthcare services and infrastructure.

The city also excels in infrastructure and digital security. Singapore ranks second in infrastructure security, reflecting the high level of reliability of the transport system, utilities, communication networks and other public facilities. In the area of digital security, the country also scores well, ranking second in terms of risk, allowing residents and visitors to use the internet with confidence.

In contrast, Caracas, Venezuela, was ranked the riskiest city for tourists due to health concerns, high crime rates and significant digital vulnerabilities.
