Singapore and Japan have announced a new startup platform for economic expansion.

Singapore and Japan are joining forces to support innovation and business growth, announcing new initiatives under AsiaJapan Investing for the Future.

 

During the economic dialogue in Tokyo, the countries announced the creation of the Japan-Singapore platform, which will help stimulate economic growth in both countries. The co-creation platform will provide resources and support to startups, helping them grow and expand into new markets. Plans also include a pitch event for startups and SMEs.

 

Cooperation between Singapore and Japan to support startups and SMEs will be expanded. The second Japan-Singapore Fast Track Pitch event will provide a platform for networking and exchange of experience between startups and SMEs. Joint programs will be developed to provide targeted support to startups and SMEs in both countries.

 

Other key areas of cooperation include the development of the digital economy, data management with AI, research and development, and the creation of joint training programs. IME A*STAR from Singapore and Rapidus from Japan will join forces to develop advanced microelectronics packaging technologies in the cleantech space.

 

Singapore and Japan will also explore collaboration within the Asia Zero Emissions Community to combat climate change. The Japan-Singapore Dialogue on Energy Transition will continue to develop solutions for decarbonization.

 

The collaboration is expected to benefit startups and SMEs in these countries and contribute to economic growth and a more sustainable future.
